Cristian is a fourteen-year-old boy from Durham. He battles Adrenoleukodystrophy, a rare genetic disorder that has left him in palliative care.
Cristian’s family wanted him to have a traditional Quinceañero (15th) birthday party which would allow him to reflect on his youth while in Mexico. Meg’s Smile Foundation arranged for Cristian’s family to throw a wonderful party complete with a custom cake, traditional suit, boots, hat and tie to wear as well as all of the food, decorations, and a mariachi band. Cristian, his family, and friends had a wonderful time they will always remember.
