Miguel is a 5 year old boy from Willow Spring, NC who has been battling leukemia for four years. Recently, Miguel has also been diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome which produces seizures up to 20 times per day. Because of this, it is unsafe for Miguel to go to the park and play on the playground.
Miguel asks to go to the park often and it breaks his parents’ heart to have to say no all of the time. Upon hearing this, we asked our friends at Backyard Playground to build Miguel his very own playground. Miguel’s parents worked with Backyard Playground to design a playground that was safe and fun for him including a swing, clubhouse and specialized steps with handrails. Miguel can now safely play in his own back yard!
A special thank you to our friends at Backyard Playground for building this awesome new playground for Miguel. Thank you for supporting Meg’s Smile Foundation!Backyard Playground
